Do you have to love a town to interpret it? No but it sure helps

Which came first- loving the place and then interpreting it or while in the process of interpreting it coming to love it? I say, at least in the case of Lahaina, both for me. I was asked to photograph Lahaina with the idea to develop a slide show of the town,  past and present. In other words, or my words- interpreting  the changes, the feel, the pulsing life of this wonderful and unique place. Here is just a small view of what I saw in a few days. It is only the beginning.
